The special limited mintage 2018 revival of the design is issued to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of the Kingdom, struck from 1 Troy oz. of. 999 fine silver by the Royal Hawaiian Mint.
Spectacular Design Details
Hawaiian King Kalakaua I is depicted on the obverse with the Royal Hawaiian Mint's mark "RHM" inscribed at the base of his neck. The portrait is encircled by a ribbed border along with the additional inscriptions "KALAKAUA I KING OF HAWAII" and the dates "1893-2018," honoring the 125th Anniversary.
Centered on the reverse is the Royal Coat of Arms of Hawaii used during the reign of King Kalakaua. Inscribed "ROYAL HAWAIIAN SILVER," "AKAHI DALA," "ONE OUNCE" and ".999 SILVER."
