Symbolic Dragon DesignThe dragon is an enduring symbol of luck, strength and transformation in the Chinese mythology and tradition. They are often depicted in pursuit of a luminous, flaming pearl which can represent wisdom and enlightenment, knowledge or energy. The reverse image features a stylized dragon relentlessly chasing a flaming pearl of wisdom. The iconic Perth Mint "P" Mint mark appears next to the Ing Ing Jong designed dragon. The obverse displays the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. With the Queen's name and "Australia," the weight, purity and denomination inscriptions appear.
