Silver Bird of Paradise $1 Coin at the remarkable Mint State 69 (MS69) grade and awarded it the collectible First Releases (FR) designation. The series is struck on .9999 fine silver planchets that each weigh 1 oz. It was struck by the world famous Perth Mint which has roots going back to 1899 when it began as part of the British Royal Mint system. This is the first year of issue for this low mintage 50,000 coin Bird of Paradise series.

Stunning Bird of Paradise Obverse

The reverse image appearing on the coin is that of the Victoria Riflebird, a member of the Bird of Paradise family native to Australia. It is shown as it spreads its wings, about to take flight. The obverse uses the iconic "Fourth Portrait" of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by British artist Ian Rank-Broadley.
