Niue, that tiny Pacific Island nation of Star Wars fans, has again partnered with The New Zealand Mint to bring these licensed Star Wars foils to collectors all over the world. This $1 Niue foil note was struck on .999 pure silver foil planchets that contain 5 grams (.1607 oz.) of silver. This issue has a limited mintage of 50,000 units.
Darth Vader: Lord of the Sith
The reverse features two Darth Vader images: a colorized image of Darth Vader brandishing a light saber and a confrontation between Vader and Princess Leia, taken from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.
