Why Purchase This GEM BU 2018 Mexico 2 oz. Silver Libertad?

The Libertad series of coins is a favorite of collectors and stackers around the world. The series was introduced in 1982. In addition to having an appealing design and a tendency to have relatively low mintage figures, some collectors are drawn to this series because the coins are struck at the Mexico City Mint. The Mexico City Mint is the oldest minting facility in North America. This 2018 Silver Libertad is made of .999 fine silver and weighs 2 troy oz.

Winged Victory and Volcanoes

The obverse displays 11 versions of the Mexican coat of arms. The current version is at the center of the design. It shows an eagle on a cactus as it fights a rattlesnake. A border including "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" surrounds the current coat of arms.

The classic "MO" Mint mark of the Mexico City Mint can be found on the reverse. This design shows a statue of Winged Victory in the foreground and 2 volcanoes in the background. The silver content is inscribed on this side as well.

GEM BU from the Mint

This 2 oz. Silver Libertad has not been graded or encapsulated by a third-party service. Just like when it left the Mexico City Mint, it's in GEM Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
