Spectacular Snowy Egret Posed for Flight
The reverse features a design created by Donna Weaver and Don Everhart, depicting a spindly legged snowy egret standing on a branch above one of the island's salt marshes. The image border is inscribed "CUMBERLAND ISLAND," "GEORGIA," "2018" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
All releases of the series feature the same obverse, John Flanagan's 1932 portrait of George Washington. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "QUARTER DOLLAR" and the Mint mark "P," with ".999 FINE SILVER 5.0 OUNCE" on the coin's smooth edge.
