Detailed Marsh Design

Like other coins of the America the Beautiful series, the obverse of this one shows a portrait of George Washington. A number of inscriptions are located on this side, including the face value. The "P" mintmark is just to the right of Washington.

On the reverse, an egret can be seen standing on a branch. It appears as though it is getting ready to fly away. Both the egret and the background behind it feature a stunning level of detail.
