The distinctive image of George Washington is located on the obverse. The iconic portrait was sculpted by John Flanagan for the introduction of the Washington Quarter in 1932. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "QUARTER DOLLAR," with ".999 FINE SILVER 5.0 OUNCE" on the coin's smooth edge.
