The inscriptions "APOSTLE ISLANDS," "WISCONSIN," "2018" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" frame the reverse image illustrating the imposing cliffs and sea caves of the Lakeshore's Devils Island, with a kayaker paddling upon Lake Superior in the foreground.
The obverse features George Washington, sculpted by John Flanagan in 1932, accompanied by the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "QUARTER DOLLAR." The coin's smooth edge is lettered ".999 FINE SILVER 5.0 OUNCE."
