Why add this flawless First Day of Issue 2018 American Silver Eagle to your collection?
The U.S. Mint's American Silver Eagle has been produced since 1986, its obverse imagery a tribute to Adolph A. Weinman's design for the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. This 2018 Silver Eagle bullion coin measures 40.6 mm in diameter, struck from 1 full Troy oz. of .999 fine silver with a reeded edge.
Powerful Image of Walking Liberty
The obverse of this coin features Weinman's gorgeous female personification of Liberty striding toward a new day's sun, enveloped in the stars and stripes of the United States, carrying an enormous bouquet of oak and laurel in her left hand, while reaching out with her right. Inscribed "LIBERTY," "2018" and "IN GOD WE TRUST."
The reverse, designed by John Mercanti, illustrates an image similar to the Great Seal of the United States, depicting a shielded heraldic eagle gripping an olive branch and arrows, with thirteen five-pointed stars above.
Perfectly Struck Mint State 70 with Hand Signed First Day of Issue Travis Mills Label
This 2018 American Silver Eagle proudly carries a patriotically themed NGC Label signed by Travis Mills, retired United States Army Staff Sergeant. ModernCoinMart is giving a direct donation to the Travis Mills Foundation in support of wounded and injured soldiers.
