Why Make This MS69 Early Releases 2018 Silver Eagle with a Black Core Slab the Next Addition to Your Collection?

In 1986 the U.S. Mint struck the very first American Silver Eagle coins, they were introduced at the same time as the American Gold Eagle. This 2018 Silver Eagle weighs 1 troy oz. and is made of .999 fine silver. It has a Brilliant Uncirculated finish. Since this is not a proof or burnished coin it does not have a Mint mark.

Exquisite Depictions of Liberty and a Bald Eagle

The obverse features the finely detailed work of Adolph A. Weinman. This classic design is known as Walking Liberty. She is shown with the stars and stripes flowing around her as she makes her way forward.

The design on the reverse was created by John Mercanti years before he became Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint. A bald eagle can be seen with a bundle of arrows and an olive branch here. There are 13 stars above it for the original colonies.
