Why order this American 2018 Silver Eagle?

This 2018 Silver American Eagle continues the world's most popular bullion series, which began in 1986. This stunning coin is backed by the U.S. government for weight and purity. It weighs 1 oz. and was struck from .999 fine silver. The coin comes in a beautiful display box from the U.S. Mint.

Patriotic Walking Liberty Design by Adolph Weinman

The obverse design was taken from the Walking Liberty half dollar, which Adolph Weinman designed. Liberty strides toward the left side of the coin. Draped in the American flag, she carries branches of laurel and oak in her left hand while extending her right hand above the morning sun. Laurel and oak branches represent honors bestowed upon civilians and military members, respectively. On Liberty's head is a Phrygian cap, which symbolizes her freedom.

John Mercanti designed the reverse specifically for the Silver Eagle series. An adaptation of the Great Seal of the United States, it consists of two parts. At the top is an arrangement of thirteen stars, which symbolize the original states. Below, an eagle guards a union shield. In its beak, the bird holds a ribbon that bears the words "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (From many, one), while in its talons it holds arrows and an olive branch. The former are symbols of military readiness while the latter symbolizes peace.
