On the very first day of production, the South African Mint sent a sealed shipment of South African legal tender Silver Krugerrands directly to NGC. Once this postmarked shipment arrived to NGC headquarters, each coin was thoroughly inspected by their team of numismatic experts.

Out of this first batch, the few that were found to be absolutely flawless were awarded the top grade of Specimen 70. This grade means that your Silver Krugerrand will have zero visible post-production imperfections at five times the magnification! Since these coins arrived to NGC postmarked the initial day of production, your Silver Krugerrand will also have the highly sought-after distinction First Day of Issue.
