Why add the Mint State 70 2017 Saint-Gaudens Winged Liberty 1 oz Silver Medal Mercanti Signed National Park Foundation label to your collection?
The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) graded this MCM exclusive 2017 Saint-Gaudens Winged Liberty 1 oz. Silver Medal at the highly collectible Mint State 70 level. This 1 oz. .999 fine silver medal was struck by Britain's Royal Mint and features the John Mercanti Hand-Signed National Park Foundation Label.
Design from the mind of a genius
This stunning medal features the original design intended for use on the $20 Gold "Double Eagle." Lady Liberty is depicted as she appeared on the circulating gold issue, with the astounding addition of a Native American headdress and the addition of angel's wings. The reverse features a bald eagle similar to the standing bald eagle on the $10 "Gold Eagle" and the Teddy Roosevelt inaugural medal, both designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens.
Special, historic label
Numismatic designer extraordinaire John Mercanti was chosen to finish engraving the Saint-Gaudens plaster models used for this issue. They were obtained from the Saint-Gaudens residence which is maintained by the National Park Service as a historic site. The collectible National Park Foundation label features a photo of Augustus Saint-Gaudens and the signature of Mr. Mercanti.
