Why purchase this $1 Australian 2017-P 1 oz High Relief Silver Kookaburra Proof
This High Relief 2017-P $1 Australian 1 oz Silver Kookaburra Proof offers you a unique way to enjoy the latest edition of an annual collector favorite. The bullion version of the Kookaburra is always popular, and this high relief version accentuates every detail. The coin bears the iconic "P" mint mark on the reverse. That represents the Perth Mint, where the coin was struck from .999 fine silver.
Stunning Kookaburra Design by Natasha Muhl
Natasha Muhl created the reverse design, in which an adult and a baby kookaburra are perched upon a wooden fence. The baby is on the right and shown in left-side profile looking at the adult. The Muhl shows the adult from the back with the bird's head turned to the right. The name, date, weight and purity of the coin are inscribed along the rim.
Nearly Perfect PF69 UC with Exclusive Australia Label
The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) printed their grading information on this coin on a label that bears one of Australia's most famous landmarks, the Sydney Opera House, as well as its flag. NGC graded the coin Proof 69, thus indicating that it is in perfect condition as seen by the naked eye but has at least one minuscule imperfection. They also credited the coin for having sharp contrasts between frosted devices and mirrored fields by labeling it an Ultra Cameo.
