Why add this Mint State 69 First Day of Issue 2017-(P) Silver Eagle to your collection today?

This bullion Silver Eagle was struck at the Philadelphia branch of the U.S. Mint in 2017. It doesn't have a Mint mark, its Mint of origin was determined by examining the original monster box it was packed in. The fact that its Mint of origin has been verified adds a bit of collectible appeal by separating it from other 2017 bullion Silver Eagles.

Weinman's Walking Liberty and Mercanti's Bald Eagle

The design on the obverse was created by classic engraver Adolph A. Weinman, it was first used in 1916. Known as Walking Liberty, she can be seen in stride with the sun shining in the background.

Retired Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint John Mercanti created the design on the reverse. A detailed bald eagle and 13 stars can be seen here.

Mint State 69 and First Day of Issue from NGC
