The Royal Mint's Portrait of Britain collection celebrates four of Great Britain's most iconic landscapes, buildings and views. Magnificent Great Britain Landmarks
The reverses feature the artistry of Royal Mint coin designers Glyn Davies and Laura Clancy. The coins in this third year of release individually depict views of Hampton Court Palace, Edinburgh Castle, 10 Downing Street and Westminster Abbey. Each beautifully engraved image is enhanced with a unique palette of color, applied to give a soft watercolor vignette effect.
The obverses depict the crowned profile of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which was sculpted by Royal Mint Coin Designer Jody Clark in 2015. Inscriptions include "ELIZABETH II D.G. REG. F.D. 5 POUNDS 2017."
