Worldwide mintage was limited to just 5,000 pieces. This foil measures 150x70 mm and is just .045 mm thick.
Stunning Sydney skyline design
Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is at the center of this foil. The monarch wears a tiara that sits on her curly hair. There are several inscriptions on this face, including "ELIZABETH II," "COOK ISLANDS," and "1 DOLLAR," which appears twice. Also included is essential information about the coin's weight, metal content, and even its mintage.
The reverse of the foil bears a stunning recreation of Sydney's skyline. In the foreground is AMP Tower, which rises high in the sky. Across the harber among several other buildings is Sydney's famed Opera House. Sydney Harbour Bridge is set off to the right. "SKYLINE DOLLAR" is inscribed in the lower left, identifying the series. "1" and "SYDNEY" identify the face value and the city shown to the right.
