Own the World's First Legal-Tender Silver Banknote with the 2017 Cook Islands Famous Skylines New York Note!

Only Coin Invest Trust (CIT), widely recognized for its cutting-edge designs and minting processes, could take the traditional banknote in such a revolutionary new direction. Introducing the Cook Islands Famous Skylines Silver Banknote: the world's first legal-tender genuine silver banknote! Minted like a coin rather than printed like a banknote, the stunning combination of beauty and high-tech engineering is leaving collectors breathless. With five grams of .999 fine silver and measuring .045 millimeters in thickness--a fraction of the thickness of ordinary paper--this 150x70 millimeter note was graded Gem Proof 70 Uncirculated, achieving the highest grade possible from Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).

The Big Apple in All Its Glory

One of the eight Cook Islands Famous Skylines--a collection that also features Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, London, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Toronto--the New York design captures the vibrant color and energy of New York City in all its splendor. Each five-gram silver banknote in the collection is minted to proof-like brilliance with a guilloche pattern on both sides for a stunning visual effect. The obverse of each banknote displays a landscape of each city's trademark features, beautifully colorized using advanced technology.

The obverse of the New York City banknote features the grand Statue of Liberty proudly welcoming global visitors to the City That Never Sleeps. Lady Liberty is depicted in front of New York's glowing skyline and the famous Brooklyn Bridge. The obverse also includes the banknote's weight, silver purity and year of issue. The reverse of the banknote provides Cook Islands legal tender specifications, including the left-facing profile of the Cook Islands' Head of State, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and the one-dollar denomination marking.

An International Treasure Meets High-Tech Brilliance

From a low mintage of only 5,000--and in coveted Gem Proof 70 Uncirculated condition--this gorgeous silver banknote is the perfect gift for silver and banknote collectors and for anyone enchanted by the sights and sounds of the one and only Big Apple! The Early Releases designation from Paper Money Guaranty (PMG) adds to the exclusivity of this must-have collectible.

Stunning beauty
I think these foil notes are absolutely stunning. How they stretch the 5g of silver to make a note is incredible. And the beauty is a sight to behold. I'm glad I purchased the 70 too. The price was high, but considering the cost to grade ($20) and it being a 70, it was worth not having to deal with the hassle to get a non graded, and then send it in, and maybe get a 69 back. Thank you.
