The new reverse design on the 2017 Silver Panda shows an image of a panda bear sitting on the ground, eating leaves from a stalk of bamboo. In the background, a thick forest of bamboo can be seen.
The obverse of the coin depicts the same design seen on Silver Pandas since 1983. It is the "Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvest," located in the Chinese Temple of Heaven.
