Action-packed battle design by Alan Daniel
T. H. Paget's portrait of King George VI serves as the obverse design. The King is shown in left-side profile with a stern look. His image is encircled by two sets of inscriptions. The first is his name and title, "GEORGIVS VI D.G. REX ET IND, IMP," and the second is the face value, "20 DOLLARS."
Alan Daniel's reverse design offers a first-person view of the battle. Soldiers are shown rushing White Beach as they assault Diepppe. The heavily fortified casino that was a focal point of the attack is a short but potentially deadly distance away.
