Why should you add this unique 2017 Canada Endangered Animal Cutout - Woodland Caribou Silver Proof to your collection today!
Struck in 2017 by the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM), this coin is the first piece in a new series which takes a unique perceptive on how our world could be affected by the extinction of already endangered animals. This is achieved through a unique state-of-the-art design technology which allows a cutout to be punched through the coin, and with this release, the cutout is that of a woodland caribou.
Featuring a unique perceptive on the endangered caribou!
The obverse depicts the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, the effigy has been moved to the top left of the coin to make room for the cutout of a caribou.
The reverse features a look at the beautiful Canadian landscape, this landscape is sharply contrasted with a cut out of the caribou, this is used to show the hole that could be left is the woodland caribou were ever to go extinct. The design was created by Canadian artist Trevor Tennent.
