The gorgeous Special Edition proof, with a mintage limit of 10,000, is struck from 3/4 Troy oz. of .9999 fine silver and measures 36.07mm in diameter, selectively enhanced with brilliant red enamel.

A beautifully frosted Canadian flag waves behind the shape of the nation of Canada on the reverse, with a large "150" inscribed over the image, embellished with red enamel. Inscribed "CANADA DOLLAR" and "1867-2017" below. The design additionally features the 150th Anniversary logo, a stylized geometric maple leaf, designed by global business and digital art student Ariana Cuvin.
Canadian artist Susanna Blunt designed the obverse portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The image is framed by "ELIZABETH II" and "D. G. REGINA" and encircled by a beaded border.
