Timeless Thomas Pesendorfer Musical design

The design on this beautiful coin is a celebration of music, so central to the history of Vienna. The obverse image used on the coin depicts the massive pipe organ in the Musikverein, the renowned concert hall, home of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The reverse image on the coin shows a group of instruments used in the orchestra which includes: a violin, viola, cello, French horn, harp, flute and bassoon. Thomas Pesendorfer, the now retired Chief Engraver of the Austrian Mint was the designer of this issue.
