Why purchase a hand-signed 2016 Proof Silver Eagle?
The Proof American Silver Eagle series is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary. To mark this special occasion, the US Mint is adding something to this design, which previously remained unchanged for nearly three decades. The special addition is edge lettering on the bottom of the coin, which reads, "30th ANNIVERSARY." This is a one-year-only design, meaning you have a short window to secure your coins.
Hand-signed by the designer of the reverse
John Mercanti has hand-signed each label before the coins were sonically sealed by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). Mercanti's authentic signature is a key detail, as he was not only the 12th Chief Engraver of the US Mint, but he designed the reverse of the American Silver Eagle.
Certified as Proof 69 Early Releases by NGC
The trained numismatists at NGC have examined this coin and awarded it the grade of Proof 69 on the 70-point grading scale. NGC has also awarded this coin the designation of Early Releases since it was submitted for grading within the first 30 days of being released from the US Mint.
Collectors around the world have been anxiously waiting to add this coin to their collection. Don't get left behind in the dust - Place your order from MCM today!
