Why add this Mint State 69 2016-(W) Silver Eagle with a black core slab and a Mercanti signature label to your collection?

In recent years, demand for the American Silver Eagle has been so strong that a number of production records have been set. In 2016, this Silver Eagle was minted at West Point. It doesn't have a Mint mark because this is the standard bullion version, but its Mint of origin was verified by the monster box it was in.

Iconic detailed work by Weinman and Mercanti

The woman depicted on the obverse is Liberty. She is carrying a bundle of oak and laurel branches as she makes her way forward. This design is by Adolph A. Weinman.

The reverse features a symbolic bald eagle design. The stars near the top symbolize the original colonies. This is the work of John Mercanti, retired Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint.
