Why add this $50 1 oz. Gold Proof American Buffalo to your collection?

The Gold Buffalo celebrates its 10th anniversary with this 2016 issue. Introduced in 2006, the coin was the first 24-karat gold proof coin ever struck by the U.S. Mint. The design of this breathtaking 2016 Gold Buffalo is duplicates the vastly popular Type I Buffalo Nickel first issued in 1913. The coin carries a value of $50, contains 1 Troy oz. of .9999 fine gold, has a diameter of 32.7 mm, and a weight of 31.1 grams. All Gold Buffalo Proofs are struck at the U.S. Mint facility in West Point, New York.

The acclaimed Buffalo Nickel design by James Earle Fraser of an American Indian appears on the obverse as originally minted in 1913. Inscribed are: “LIBERTY”, and “2016”. The reverse, also designed by Mr. Fraser, depicts Black Diamond, the famous American buffalo that lived in the Central Park Zoo in New York City in the early 1900’s. Inscribed are: “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “E PLURIBUS UNUM”. “IN GOD WE TRUST” “1 OZ.”, “.9999 FINE GOLD”, and “$50”.

This magnificent $50 Proof Gold Buffalo includes the exclusive Buffalo Label and is graded a nearly flawless PF69 by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), a highly respected coin authentication company. The Ultra Cameo (UC) designation refers to the exceptional quality of textured and mirrored surfaces on the coin.

This stunning 2016 Gold American Buffalo will be an impressive addition to your Proof collection. Place an order for yours from MCM!
