Why Choose This MS70 First Day of Issue 2016 $5 Gold Eagle with a Mercanti Signed Label?

The West Point branch of the US Mint struck this 2016 $5 Gold Eagle. It is made of 22 karat gold and has an actual gold weight of 1/10 Troy oz. The Gold Eagle series was introduced in 1986, making 2016 its 30th anniversary.

The design shown on the obverse was originally created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. It shows Liberty holding a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. Miley Busiek created the reverse design, which shows a family of bald eagles.

This 2016 1/10 oz. American Gold Eagle was sent straight to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation when it was released by the Mint, which is why it received the First Day of Issue designation. It was awarded the grade of Mint State 70, which means it is totally flawless. This coin has a label that was signed by John Mercanti to display its perfect grade.

Don’t wait, order this NGC MS70 First Day of Issue 2016 $5 1/10 oz. American Gold Eagle with a Mercanti signed label while you can.
