Why add this High Relief Silver Tuvalu Star Trek - Enterprise to your collection?
This Silver Tuvalu High Relief 2016 Star Trek - Enterprise was issued to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the premier of the hit show, which only ran from 1966-1969. Struck from .999 fine silver at the Perth Mint, which is recognized with the familiar "P" Mint mark on the reverse, this coin has a maximum mintage of just 6,000 pieces.
Striking Enterprise Design
On the obverse is the familiar 1998 Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. She has a tiara atop her head and is shown in right-side portrait. Several inscriptions along the rim encircle the image.
On the reverse is the famed Enterprise flying through space. It is shown from below and in front, with lines shooting from a central point behind it to the rim indicating motion. Above is the inscription "STAR TREK," with the Starfleet insignia on the right.
Perfect Proof 70 Ultra Cameo
The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) certified that this coin is in perfect condition and warranted the Ultra Cameo moniker due to the strength of the contrasts between frosted and mirrored sections. All of this information was provided on a label signed by William Shatner, who famously played the role of Captain James T. Kirk in the series. Only 425 labels were signed by William Shatner for these 1 oz. Silver Star Trek coins!
