Why order this High Relief Silver Tuvalu Star Trek - Enterprise
This Silver Tuvalu High Relief Star Trek - Enterprise was struck from .999 fine silver at the Perth Mint, which is identified by the "P" Mint mark that is inscribed on the lower left of the reverse. The coin was issued to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the show's 1966 premier. Mintage of this piece was limited to just 6,000.
Stunning Enterprise Design
Like other coinage from Tuvalu, the obverse bears Ian Rank-Broadley's 1998 effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a tiara. Several inscriptions along the rim encircle the image, including "QUEEN ELIZABETH II" at the top and "1 OZ 999 SILVER" on the left.
On the reverse is the famed Starship Enterprise speeding through space. It is portrayed moving toward the holder's right, and lines from the edge to a common point serve with the high relief to create the impression of motion. The words "STAR TREK" are inscribed at the top, and the Star Trek insignia is set off to the right.
Perfect Proof 70 Ultra Cameo Early Releases
The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) certified that this coin is an Ultra Cameo on account of the strong contrasts between frosted and mirrored sections and an Early Release because it was received for grading within a month of its release from the Perth Mint. They also gave the coin their highest grade, Proof 70, indicating that it has no flaws visible under 5x magnification.
