Why order this 1 oz. Silver Proof 2016-S American Liberty Medal
This Proof 1 oz. Silver 2016-S American Liberty Medal was made using the latest digital and manufacturing technology. It was struck from .999 fine silver and has a limited mintage of 12,500 pieces. It has an "S" Mint mark on the reverse indicating that it was struck at the San Francisco Mint.
Stunning Designs by Justin Kunz and Paul Balan
Justin Kunz designed the obverse of this medal. A youthful Liberty stands at the center with her shoulders turned toward the holder's right and her head turned slightly to the holder's left. In her left hand, she holds the American flag, while in her right she holds her burning torch of freedom.
On the reverse is an eagle in flight. Paul Balan, who designed it, finely detailed every aspect of the bird, while also including a branch in its claws, making it the embodiment of freedom.
Nearly Perfect Proof 69 Ultra Cameo Early Releases
According to Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) graders, the contrasts between frosted and mirrored sections on both faces of this medal are strong enough to warrant Ultra Cameo status. The graders also found that this piece has a full strike and just a few imperfections, none of which are visible to the naked eye. As such, they gave it their second highest grade, Mint State 69.
