The iconic likeness of George Washington as sculpted by John Flanagan in 1932 adorns the obverse. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "QUARTER DOLLAR" and the "P" Mint mark.
