Why choose this 2016-(P) American Silver Eagle for your collection? It has long been suspected that not all unmarked American Silver Eagles originated from the West Point Mint. This has caused the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) to work together with Coin World to discover where each American Silver Eagle was struck. Finding this information proved to be difficult, although through a Freedom of Information request, the two companies were able to gather what serial numbers each specific Mint used. This allowed them to find out that this 2016 American Silver Eagle was struck at the Philadelphia Mint! Featuring two patriotic design of America's pastDepicted on the obverse a design from the classic Walking Liberty Half Dollar of 1916. This coin holds an iconic role in American coinage as it was one of the first designs to depict Lady Liberty with modern American features. The reverse features a rendition of Great Seal of the U.S., this image was re-created by the U.S. Mint 12th Chief Engraver, John Mercanti. Graded Mint State 69 and housed within a black core holderThis American Silver eagle achieved the grade of Mint State 69 from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), this grade speaks of a well-struck coin without any noticeable faults or imperfections. The coin is housed within a decorative and protective black core holder. Purchase your 2016-(P) American Silver Eagle today! |
