Why add this 1 oz. Silver Mexico 2016 Libertad Onza to your collection?
The 2016 Mexican Silver 1 oz. Libertad Onza marks the thirty-fifth anniversary release of this extremely popular coin. Issued by Banco de Mexico, this coin was struck from .999 fine silver at Casa de Moneda de Mexico, which is represented by a Mint mark on the obverse. This coin is a great choice for lovers, which are represented on the obverse design, those who love Mexican coins, and, especially because of its label, those who love the country of Mexico.
Stunning Winged Victory Design
The national seal of Mexico stands at the center of the obverse. An eagle that is perched on a cactus is eating a snake. Encircling the seal are ten additional symbols, which represent the country's ten provinces.
At the center of the reverse is a statue known as Winged Victory, which stands in Mexico City. In the background are two volcanoes, Popocatepeti and Iztaccihuati, which are named for lovers in a pre-Columbian legend. Several inscriptions arch over the image.
Flawless Mint State 70 with Exclusive Mexico Label
The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) determined that this coin was struck perfectly and does not have any imperfections, so they awarded it their highest grade, Mint State 70. They printed the grade on a Mexico label, which includes an image of the famous pyramid at Tulum set against a Mexican flag backdrop.
