Why should you purchase this set of Two 2016 China Silver Pandas Struck At Shenzhen and Shanghai Mints NGC MS70 (Exclusive Panda Label)?
This pair of 2016 China Silver Pandas with an Exclusive Panda Label bears the mint locations of Shenzhen and Shanghai. These two Chinese Panda Silver Coins in MS70 condition are one of the world’s most cherished government minted coins. Starting in 2016, the Silver Panda series left the Troy oz. standard and adopted a metric weight. The 1 oz. Silver Panda is replaced with a .999 fine Silver coin weighing 30g (0.964522 Troy oz.). Each coin’s weight and purity is guaranteed by the Peoples Bank of China.
Since the Pandas do not bear Mint marks, there has never been any way to discover their respective Mint location...until now! One of our trained numismatists discovered a hidden label that disclosed the Mint location of each Panda! These coins were immediately sealed and certified with their respective Mint locations by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). These coins have been matched into 2-coin Mint sets with Early Releases designations. Only 1,635 sets can be assembled!
The reverse of these 2016 Silver Pandas feature a giant panda on a branch with a background of bamboo trees. The eyes, ears, arms, and legs of the panda on this magnificent coin have a mirrored proof-like finish contrasting the panda's bi-colored fur. The reverse is inscribed with “10Y”, “Ag” (the chemical symbol for silver), “30g”, and “.999”.
The obverse features the Temple of Heaven, a significant location in China’s history. The coin is bordered with “People’s Republic of China” in Chinese characters and “2016”. The Temple of Heaven is a religious site used by Emperors in several dynasties to pray each year for a good harvest. Completed in 1420, it remains a popular tourist site.
The two coin 2016 Silver Panda set is sure to be an exciting collectible, being the first year of the new weight system for this popular series. Expand your precious metal portfolio with these 2016 30g MS70 Silver Chinese Panda coins!
