Why choose this GEM 2016 China ANA Proof 1 oz. Silver Panda in Original Mint Packaging?
In 2016, China issued a special commemorative proof Silver Panda for the ANA show in Anaheim. The coin shown here is made of .999 fine silver and weighs 1 Troy oz. It was limited to a mintage of 2,000 pieces. If you're familiar with the Silver Pandas issued by China, then you know the standard version is already quite collectible. This commemorative proof would make a superb addition to any collection.
Detailed ANA Design with Bears
The design on the obverse has an ANA theme. It shows the ANA lamp encircled by the words "AMERICAN NUMISMATIC ASSOCIATION." The date and city of the show are inscribed on this side of the coin also.
The reverse displays a panda and a brown bear in the same position. A wooded background is behind the brown bear and a bamboo background can be seen behind the panda. There is a coin placed between them and a Hollywood background in the central portion of the design.
Original Mint Packaging and GEM Proof Condition
This commemorative proof has not been graded. It's in GEM Proof condition and comes with its original Mint packaging.
