Why add this 2016 American Silver Eagle to your precious metals collection?
Set your coin collection apart with this 30th Anniversary 2016 American Silver Eagle struck from 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver. The U.S. Mint has produced the Silver Eagle as part of the American Eagle Bullion program since 1986 along with the Gold Eagle; the intense popularity of the program led to the expansion in 1997 to include a Platinum version.
Stunning, original Design
Designed by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916, the obverse depicts Lady Liberty walking toward the rising sun. Inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and "2016." The reverse, by U.S. Mint Chief Engraver John Mercanti, portrays an image similar to the Great Seal of the United States, a bald eagle with a shield grasping an olive branch and arrows, "E PLURIBUS UNUM" inscribed on a ribbon banner. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR" surround the magnificent image.
