NGC PF70 Tuvalu Star Trek: Spock Proof Silver Coin
The Science fiction series of Star Trek produced several iconic figures and Spock is one of the three main characters of this series. There were numerous accomplishments that Mr. Spock, a one-time Starfleet Enterprise’s right-hand-man to Captain Kirk, made for the series. The coin produced by the Perth Mint has been struck in .999 fine silver and under the authority of the Tuvalu government, in a $1 denomination coin. A proof strike coin signifies that the strike produces a coin with a mirror like finish. The actual strength of the die onto the coin is three times as strong a stamp as compared to a business strike coin – so the images are much more clear and defined. Proof coins are only made for collecting public and this one is no exception to that rule.
The original series of Star Trek had numerous characters and hundreds of twists and turns. Spock was one of the most notable of all the characters for several reasons. Half Vulcan and half Human – he was the born to a Vulcan father named Sarek and his mother was a human teacher named Amanda Grayson. When Spock first joined the Starfleet enterprise, he began as a Starfleet officer and after several decades graduated to become a Federation Ambassador. His character was best known for his complete reliance on pure logic which he used, to a fault, controlling his every move. Once becoming an ambassador, Spock was instrumental in easing the tensions between the Klingon Empire and the Federation. He would then move on to tackle the Romulan Star Empire, however, he was unfortunately unable to see or prevent a rogue supernova from destroying the empire.
The Perth mint sold out of this wonderful colorized proof coin very quickly and no more will be produced. This coin has been graded by NGC to exhibit the perfect grade of PF70 as well as being verified as one of the coins produced within the first 30 days of production.

The inscriptions shown on this coin are: “SPOCK,” 1 oz. .999 SILVER,” “TM & 2015 CBS. ARR,” along with several designs images from the series.
The Obverse side has the recognizable image of the Queen Elizabeth II of England as created by Mint artist Ian Rank-Broadley.
