Depicted on the reverse is a wild turkey as it takes flight above a blue stem grass field, with the tall, spindly trunks of long leaf pine trees in the background. Inscriptions include "KISATCHIE," "LOUISIANA," "2015" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM." Measuring 4.19 mm in thickness, the coin's smooth edge carries the inscription ".999 FINE SILVER 5.0 OUNCE."
The obverse features the likeness of Founding Father George Washington, as sculpted by John Flanagan in 1932. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "QUARTER DOLLAR" and Philadelphia's "P" Mint mark.
