Struck in 2015 by the U.S. Mint, this quarter is part of the American the Beautiful series. This features a national park or monument from every state and territory in the U.S. of America. This release celebrates the North Carolina's, Blue Ridge Parkway, a scenic all-American Parkway which runs through the Blue Ridge mountain range.

Featuring the Blue Ridge Parkway of North Carolina!

The obverse features the portrait of George Washington, this portrait was created by John Flanagan in 1932 for the Washington Quarter. To the left of the portrait is the inscribed letter "P" for the Philadelphia Mint where the quarter was struck.

Depicted on the reverse is the North Carolina, Blue Ridge Parkway, this scenic road runs through the Blue Ridge Mountain range. Encircling the image are the inscriptions which read; "BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY," "NORTH CAROLINA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and the year of release "2015."
