Why add the 2015-P 25c 5 oz. Silver America the Beautiful - Bombay Hook NGC SP70 to your collection?

This series commemorates America’s significant historical landmarks and National Parks. This is the largest coin size produced by the US Mint and each coin is comprised of 5 oz. of .999 pure silver.

Founded on March 16, 1937, the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge covers 15,978 acres along the coast of Delaware. The refuge was established as a breeding ground for migratory and wintering waterfowl that use the Atlantic Flyway along the Eastern seaboard.

The reverse design features a great blue heron standing in the reeds of the wetland in the foreground, while an egret appears in the background.

The obverse side of the coin bears the low-relief left-profile bust of President George Washington designed by William Cousins. Cousins’ design was based on John Flanagan’s original Washington Quarter design. The image is based upon a 1786 sculpture of President Washington by Jean-Antoine Houdin.

The Specimen designation describes any coin produced to a particularly high finish. Many of these coins would be proof quality but there are also uncirculated coins which have been handled with greater than normal care.
