March of Dimes was a charitable organization fighting to rid the world of Polio and better the welfare of children across the globe. Founded by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1938, the foundation was an alliance between scientists and doctors who sought to cure the crippling and deadly disease Polio.

The U.S. Government is now commemorating this great organization by minting a March of Dimes set of 3 coins. The Proofs in the set are a 90% Silver Dollar, and two Silver Roosevelt Dimes.
