Why add this 2015 Silver Proof featuring the distinct Maple Leaf shape to your collection?
This is the first 1 ounce silver maple leaf-shaped coin to be issued by the Royal Canadian Mint! The sugar maple leaf is one of the most recognized Canadian national symbols, and is frequently represented on Canadian coinage. Struck from 1 Troy oz. of .9999 fine silver, this 2015 Maple Leaf Shaped Proof measures 43 mm x 42 mm, with an amazingly low reported mintage of just 15,000 coins.
Exceptional Textured Design
This artistic masterpiece is the work of Royal Canadian Mint Engraver Marcos Hallam. The reverse features a silver maple leaf reproduced with incredible accuracy, with attention to the coin's overall shape and finely detailed design of deeply engraved veining in each of the leaf's five tapered lobes. Inscribed "20 DOLLARS" and "2015."
The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Susanna Blunt appears on the veined leaf obverse, encircled by "ELIZABETH II", "CANADA" and "D. G. REGINA".
