Featuring Adolph Weinman's Treasured Walking LIberty Design

Obverse; Adolph Weinman's Walking Liberty design, which appeared on the half dollar before returning for this series, graces the obverse. Liberty is draped in an American flag as she carries laurel and oak branches, symbols of civilian and military honors, in the early morning sun. She is joined by inscriptions of her name, "LIBERTY," the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the date, "2015." Adolph Weinman was a major contributor to America's early 20th century numismatic renaissance. His best known works include the Mercury Dime and the Walking Liberty Half Dollar.

Reverse: Thirteen stars represent the original states above an eagle, which protects a union shield, on the reverse. John Mercanti modeled the design off of the Great Seal of the United States. The image is encircled by the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR." John Mercanti served over three and a half decades with the US Mint. Over the course of his career, he became the most prolific coin and medal designer in American history and served as the US Mint's twelfth Chief Engraver.
