NGC GEM Uncirculated MLB Minnesota Twins Label
By marrying the Minnesota Twins label and 1 oz. Silver Eagle, it has created a power couple making it even more desirable! The Twins, a Major League Baseball team, moved from Washington D.C. (formerly known as the Senators) to Minnesota in 1961. Their first year in the new state left much to be desired but they quickly improved in the following season, finishing second behind the Yankees in 1962. Since their move from D.C., the Twins have won an American League Pennant, two American League Championships, and two World Series. A NGC Gem Uncirculated grade is the equivalent of the NGC Mint State (MS) 65. Mint State coins are graded on a scale of 60-70 and are ones that have shown no evidence of circulation.
About the 1 oz. Silver Eagle Bullion Coin
As stated above, the Silver Eagle coins were first produced in 1986. Following the launch of the original Silver Eagle, several variations have been added; the proof and uncirculated versions both made specially for collectors. The proof coin is distinguishable by the burnished coin blanks that are used and obvious contrast between the mirror-like background and frostier foreground. The 2015 proof and uncirculated coins also bear the mint mark, "W,” whereas bullion Silver Eagles (Such as this one) have no mint mark. All of the variations have only been minted as a 1 Troy oz. and have a face value of 1 dollar. Every 1 oz. Silver Eagle bears the design of "Walking Liberty" on its obverse. She is covered by the Stars and Stripes and holds branches of laurel and oak. This is said to represent civil and military glory. The Reverse has the "Heraldic Eagle" behind a shield clutching olive branches and arrows, along with 13 stars to represent the 13 original colonies. This design is very similar to the United States of America's seal. The inscriptions for this coin are "LIBERTY,” "IN GOD WE TRUST,” "2015" (obverse), "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", and "1 OZ. FINE SILVER - ONE DOLLAR" (reverse). This silver coin is .999 fine silver with a "milled" treatment on the edge. It's like having your own little piece American history when you buy the 2015 1 oz. Silver Eagle coin NGC Gem Uncirculated with MLB Minnesota Twins label - you'll feel as if you've hit one out of the park!
