The design of the GEM Uncirculated 2015 Silver Eagle
While the packaging of your 2015 Silver Eagle is all new, featuring the Miami Marlins logo, the coin within is already an American institution.
Designed by Adolph A. Weinman, the obverse of the American Silver Eagle is the proud rendition of “Walking Liberty.” This design, originally found on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar (1916-1947), features Lady Liberty as she crosses an open plane. One of her arms is extended to meet the rising sun, and the other holds olive branches. Surrounding her are the listings “2015,” “LIBERTY,” and the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST.”
John Mercanti designed the reverse of the coin, which depicts an American Bald Eagle with its wings spread wide, rising behind a shield. Its talons hold arrows as well as an olive branch, symbolizing the balance between peace and protection. The eagle is surmounted by thirteen stars, and the inscriptions on the reverse include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER—ONE DOLLAR” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
Why add the Miami Marlins 2015 American Silver Eagle to your collection?
If you’re already a silver collector, this Gem Uncirculated coin will prove an intriguing addition to your collection, as a first-ever release in 2015. The coin itself retains the same value as all American Eagle bullion coins, with a silver content of 1 oz. .999 fine silver, backed by the U.S. government.
If you’re a Miami Marlins fan—or you know someone who is—this coin takes on even greater value, as a unique and valuable gift that will bring lasting enjoyment. Best of all, it arrives at your door in pristine, uncirculated condition, making it an ideal collectible.
