Why order this Mexican 2012 1 Kilo Silver Libertad

This 1 Kilo 2012 Mexican Silver Libertad would be a prized possession for just about any collector. Coins in this series are particularly popular as gifts to lovers and coins for lovers who share their favorite hobby because of certain design elements. Struck from .999 fine silver at the Casa de Moneda de Mexico, this coin bears a unique "Mo" Mint mark on the obverse.

Iconic Winged Victory Design

The coin's obverse features the current Mexican coat of arms at the center. The arms pay tribute to Mexico's rich native heritage by featuring an image taken from native religions, an eagle that is perched upon a cactus consuming a rattlesnake. The name of the issuing country, "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS," arches over the image, while ten historical Mexican coats of arms encircle the image and the inscription.

On the reverse of the coin is Winged Victory, the statue that stands in Mexico City as a symbol of the nation's independence. Her garment is falling away, leaving her bare breasted. In the distance on either side of her are a pair of Mexican volcanoes, which are named for lovers in pre-Colombian lore.

Flawless Mint State 70

This coin earned the highest grade given out by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation, Mint State 70. That means that the coin is flawless as seen under 5x magnification.
