2012 Fiji 1 Oz Silver Muhammad Ali - $2 Proof in Original Government Packaging (OGP)
Champion heavyweight boxer Muhammad Ali started life in Kentucky as Cassius Clay, and went on to be one of the most recognized sports figures in the world. With a career spanning three decades, Ali won dozens of bouts and became famous for his off-ring antics and boastfulness, most notably his catch phrase, "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee."
The coin portrays a colorized portrait of Ali in a fighting stance and includes his name. The opposite side of the coin shows Queen Elizabeth II and bears the inscription, "Elizabeth II, Fiji, Two Dollars, 2012." This coin, with a mintage of just 7500, comes in a deluxe stand with a miniature boxing glove replica and a nicely done booklet that commemorates his career, all of which fits into a clear plastic cube.
This wonderful commemorative is one full ounce of .999 fine silver and makes a wonderful display piece for any sports memorabilia or coin collector.
