If you like key issues of modern coins, this piece is for you.

Highly Acclaimed St. Gaudens Design

The obverse of this Proof Gold Eagle made its debut on the famed double eagle, which was designed by Augustus St. Gaudens. Liberty stands facing the holder with an olive branch in one hand and her torch in the other. She strikes a confident pose, with one foot elevated upon a rock and her long hair blowing freely in the wind. The sun's rays rising from the horizon combine with a miniature rendering of the Capitol Building to create an iconic background.

Miley Busieks' reverse design consists of a female protecting her young in their nest. The male, above, prepares to land, bringing with him an olive branch. Inscriptions on this face include the coin's weight and face value.

Flawless Proof 70 Ultra Cameo

This coin was struck perfectly and lacks any flaws visible under 5x magnification. That is evidenced by the Proof 70 grade that it received from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). It also received the designation "Ultra Cameo," which referse to the high quality of the finish, and the sharp contrast between frosted and mirrored sections.
