Classic Numismatic design with iconic symbolism

Lady Liberty, the personification of Freedom as an American Ideal, is pictured on the iconic obverse of this coin. The design was borrowed from the most beautiful coin ever struck by the U.S. Mint, the Augustus Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. The Bald Eagle, classic symbol of strength and freedom is shown returning home to his family and nest on the reverse of this issue. This resonant image was designed specifically for this series by U.S. Mint engraver Miley Busiek.

Flawless coin with a low population in this grade

Proof 70 is the highest grade possible for proof coins. This means that the coin itself if without blemishes or marks even when examined under magnification. This specimen has superior eye appeal and excellent, original surfaces. NGC has only graded 1,371 of this specific issue at this elevated level.
